I- HISTORY

1- Creation of ECAPR

It was created on August 27, 2012, approved under number 540 / 11-3-3 with the name Entreprise Coopérative Agricole des Producteurs de café cacao de Robert-Porte.

With the new OHADA reforms, it was transformed on October 1, 2013 into a cooperative society with a Board of Directors and becomes: Cooperative Society with Board of Directors of Eco-Farmers and Producers of Robert carries: COOP.CA-ECAPR.

Its headquarters: ROBERT-PORTE, a village located on the Soubré-Méagui axis, 22 km from Soubré (about 18min drive);

RSC No: CI-SBR-2014 CO-163.

CC No.: 4275022 S.

CNPS number: 228008.

Factory delivery code: SC120162.

Since September 2021 it has become an exporting cooperative (COOPEX)

2- Members of the cooperative

The Company had 590 members in October 2013, it now has more than 1500 active members divided into seven (07) different sections which are: Robert Porte, Walèbo, Osekro, Koziayo, Yabayo, Gnongboyo and Sarakadji

 

3- Commitments

- ECAPR is committed to improving the well-being of its producers by guaranteeing remunerative prices to producers

- Fight against the worst forms of child labour.

With the help of its partners (IRC, ICI, SACO and TOUTON),

structures specialized in the fight against the worst forms of child labour, ECAPR has set up a child labor monitoring and remediation system (CLMRS).

- Fight against deforestation

 

ECAPR Sensitizes its members to avoid the destruction of parks and reserves as well as forests belonging to villages, it gives shade plants friendly to the cocoa tree for the protection of their orchard.

 

- Genre

 

Gender empowerment is a major axis for the cooperative. It promotes the grouping of women in the different sections for training and the establishment of income-generating activities. ​

III- SOCIAL ACHIEVEMENTS

- Purchase and distribution of shade plants to our members

-Donation of 150 bench tables to EPP Robert Porte and OSEKRO

- Donation of 150 sheet metal sheets for rehabilitation EPP Robert Porte roof

-Construction 03 equipped classrooms for kindergarten Robert Porte

- Donations of food and non-food for the action to fight against COVID 19

- Construction of 03 classrooms plus office equipped for EPP GNAPAYO

-Construction of a health center in Robert Porte (in progress.) ​

 

IV- OUTLOOK

As an exporting cooperative, we envision:

- Obtain external markets with chocolatiers and traders

-Strengthen logistics equipment
